Empowering Health Through Food

The why behind it all

I believe that a successful nutrition outcome takes more than just one or two visits with a dietitian. It’s important to develop a relationship, working together as a team from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • To provide the highest level of individualized care, Stacey dedicates several hours before your first appointment to review your intake forms, medical history, and any lab work. For this reason, all insurance clients pay a one-time $250 new patient entry fee. This fee also includes a bonus of 3 months’ access to the EatLove Digital Meal Planning and Food Journaling platform to support your nutrition goals between sessions.

Please note that insurance only covers live nutrition sessions; all preparation time and digital tools are outside of what insurance reimburses.

  • No, insurance cannot be used to pay the $250 new patient entry fee. This fee covers services that occur outside of your live sessions—such as the time spent reviewing your intake forms, medical records, and chat/text between sessions—as well as 3 months of access to the EatLove Digital Meal Planning and Food Journaling platform. Insurance only covers the live nutrition sessions.

  • We are in-network with only select BCBS and UHC plans, so it’s important to check with your insurance provider to see if nutrition services are covered. If you have a different insurance plan and live in the U.S., you may be able to submit an out-of-network claim using a “superbill.” A superbill is essentially a detailed receipt that you can send to your insurance company to request partial reimbursement. We can provide these superbills, but please note that submitting one does not guarantee reimbursement—coverage depends entirely on your individual plan.

Check out our “Insurance” tab for more information on verifying with your insurance. Click on “What Questions Should I Ask When Calling My Insurance?” HERE for detailed instructions on verifying with insurance companies.

  • Most BCBS and UHC PPO plans allow unlimited visits, and many of our patients continue working with us for several months to achieve their health goals. The exact number of visits covered depends on your individual insurance plan.

If you have an HMO plan, your primary care physician must provide a referral to our practice, and they will determine how many visits are covered. Because coverage can vary, we recommend confirming with your insurance provider to understand your benefits.

  • You only need a physician referral if you have an HMO plan.

To get a referral for nutrition counseling, simply reach out to your physician’s office and ask them to provide one. Once it’s ready, your physician can fax it directly to us at 817-381-4159. If you’re unsure how to start, this process can also be discussed during your free discovery call—we’re happy to guide you!

  • Yes! We offer 3-month payment plans for our cash packages as well as the $250 new patient entry fee. This makes it easier to get started with nutrition support while spreading out the cost over a few months.

  • Yes! We order lab tests as needed to support your personalized nutrition plan, working with LabCorp, Quest, and other high-quality testing companies. Please note that insurance does not cover these lab tests since Stacey is not a physician. However, we only pass along the overhead costs to you with no additional fee, making the labs more affordable—sometimes even less than what insurance would cover.

  • Yes, we do offer refunds. We understand that life circumstances can change, and we want to be fair and transparent in those situations. The specific details of our refund policy are outlined in the Terms and Conditions, which you can review at checkout before completing your purchase.

“ I know with 100% certainty I would have lived the rest of my life chalking my poor gut health and feeling blah week after week to just getting older if it weren’t for Stacey!! She truly cares about your health and how you are feeling. Stacey looks at the entire picture and helps you figure out what works for you. This is not a one size fits all type of nutrition program. With her expertise and experience, Stacey finds the right fit for you! I will be forever grateful to Stacey for teaching me the healthiest way to live my best life!!”

“I was the stereotypical perimenopausal woman in my late 40’s with steady weight gain, low energy despite cycling attempts of dieting and exercise. I had spent years avoiding or “hiding” in pictures because I literally cringed at the way I looked. During the early months of working with Stacey, my daughter got engaged and we began planning a wedding for the following year (June 2023) and I knew pictures of me were inevitable. Stacey was patient, understanding but also held me accountable and challenged me to re-think my choices regarding food, calories, and exercise. At the time of my daughter’s wedding, I had lost 22 pounds and for the first time in YEARS felt good about how my clothes fit and all smiles for wedding pictures without cringing!! Stacey started out as my dietician/nutritionist, became a intrigal part of my support, and I now consider her a dear friend! “

"When my A1C came back high, I knew I needed to make big changes to my diet but was unsure where to start. Stacey gave me the education and the tools to make those changes. I learned how much of each food group to have each day and listened to my body along the way. I lost 30 lbs and couldn't have done it without Stacey's support, encouragement, and guidance."
